Bulgaria ON AIR: Boyan Chukov
The regime of Bashar al-Assad in Syria fell quickly because all interested parties agreed. This is the opinion of international expert Boyan Chukov, who analyzes in detail what is happening in Syria on the air of Bulgaria ON AIR.
“Russia backed down, Iran did not move to help Assad. He made extremely serious mistakes. Information emerged that he went to the Americans and was ready to exchange Iran’s support for US support, on the condition that Syria cut off Iran’s land connection with Hezbollah in Lebanon. Syria is currently being torn apart. Everyone is trying to take what interests them. Syria is torn apart, there is no such country,” said the guest of “Denyat ON AIR”.
According to him, the rebels seized the archives of the Syrian intelligence, from which it became clear that negotiations were held with their Israeli intelligence colleagues.
“The armed formations are gravitating towards Turkey, Israel, the USA, Great Britain… A battle is starting, each of these groups to regain territory and to position themselves in a given position. The Kurds are in a very interesting situation. In the Middle East, the specter of Greater Kurdistan does not sound unserious. I would not be surprised if in years we have a Kurdish state. This is the idea. It will be in the interests of the USA and Israel. The US Air Force is striking at certain armed groups that are against the Kurds,” Chukov explained.
The guest added that Erdogan is also trying to preserve a large part of the territory he has seized. Now there is a feeling that he is winning, but in strategic terms he is losing the most, Chukov believes.
“If Greater Kurdistan appears, his situation becomes extremely complicated. The PKK is a great scarecrow for Ankara. Erdogan wants a large part of the Syrians in Turkey to return, but the question is whether they are willing,” the international expert added.
According to American plans, Turkey is one of the countries that should be dismembered, it became clear from Chukov’s words. According to him, this will not be difficult, since the Kurds are supported by the Americans.
“Israeli tanks have reached 20 km from Damascus. Netanyahu said: “Let’s finish the issue with the Golan Heights”. There is no question of returning anything anymore,” the analyst also pointed out.
Has Russia failed in Syria
“Putin and the Kremlin have been negotiating with the opposition to Bashar Assad for almost a year. They offered to modernize and train the army, he refused. Russian business was expelled. The question is whether the military bases in Syria will remain. For now, there is no danger to the bases,” Chukov believes.
He does not expect the interim government in Syria to remain.
“They have gathered people to satisfy the various groups in Syria. Revenge is on the way against Bashar Assad’s people. People are being killed in the streets. Christian priests are being killed in Syria. Some say there is a danger of the Islamic State returning. Most likely, the armed groups will fight among themselves,” Chukov further commented.
