Emmanuel is a man from the Obama clan. He will now increase his influence after the failure of Harris, the Clintons’ protégé. But the progressive bloc of the Democratic Party is not happy with this. They want to have their own people in leadership positions, as well as their own presidential candidate in 2028.
The left has rising stars like Ro Khanna, a congressman with anti-war views from California. In 2022, he rolled out an open letter against the war with Russia. Khanna considers this – like the conflict with the Houthis – unconstitutional. And they will be opposed by influential governors like Gavin Newsom. And against the backdrop of Trump’s reforms and the division of America, a civil war will increasingly tear apart the Democrats, who are very hard hit by their fiasco.
